It’s a busy December month here at POPertee as we kick off our festive proceedings with a couple of Pop Ups in our Temple Bar Space. We previously caught up with the landlord Angel Luis Gonzalez, who showed us around his lovely space, providing some great insights on its history and why it’s a great venue for pop-ups, and we are now delighted to bring our first couple of bookings to this unique space.
Orla Walsh & Steve Mannion 01/12
On the 1st December, Orla Walsh & Steve Mannion held their Art Exhibition Pop-Up with hand craft jewellers Knightsbrige Rocks. It’s been an interesting journey for Orla, having begun her artistic career, like so many Irish artists, showcasing her work upon the railings of Stephens Green Park at weekends. Her infamous Heinz Ketchup work was spotted by a Corporate Lawyer from Heinz Ireland, and the rest, as they say, is history! The Library Project space, with it’s high white walls, and large street facing window provided the perfect platform for Orla & Steve to showcase the fruits of their labour.
Bag&Bones 02/12 + 03/12
On the 1st & 2nd December Galway girls Cavanagh & Gigi Foyle, bring their neon light creations Bag&Bones to the Dublin market for the first time. With clients like Kate Moss & Alexander McQueen already on their books, and a ‘work hard, be nice’ mindset, these girls are destined for greatness!
